Who is Lancaster Transit? Well, here's one review about this electrifying new duo: "...Christian electronica/pop reminiscent of Imogen Heap and The Postal Service. From folk songs to dance music, from complex orchestral arrangements to pop singles, their debut album has it all."

Take the electronica/trip-hop styles of Frou Frou and Moby, mix it with soft piano and guitar, add in complex, layered vocal sections with lyrics which have a message of hope, and you have Lancaster Transit.

Melissa Lancaster, the producer and vocalist, creates vocals reminiscent of Enya or Alison Krauss with words of hope in a dismal, doomed world. Zach Gannon, the instrumentalist half of Lancaster Transit, creates fusions of jazz, trip-hop, orchestra, pop, and electronica which mesh to form truly unique songs.

Both write the lyrics and melodies together, forging a sound comprised of both members, not led by a frontman (or woman in this case). Their debut album, Aliens and Strangers is now available.
